Be it known to all that a season of remarkable prosperity has blossomed. With steadfast diligence and a spirit of unwavering resolve, Daniel Bruce has ascended ...to the prestigious Straight A’s Honor Roll. This grand revelation comes as a most wondrous surprise, a testament to the quiet strength and hard work he pours into every endeavor. Like a scholar of old, he meets each sunrise with purpose, dispatching his lessons with grace and returning on the morrow for yet more knowledge to conquer. Daniel’s path is paved not only with ink and paper but with the tranquility of the soul. We reflect upon a week of profound calm, where the rhythmic heartbeat of his Equine companions and the gentle spray of the hose offered a sanctuary of peace. In the presence of his therapist and his most affectionate friends, he has found the balance required for greatness. Diligence: Homework completed with daily devotion. Support: The steadfast guidance of Patti, whose helping hand bolsters his climb. Momentum: A triumphant transition into the Fifth Grade. With only four levels remaining in this academic cycle, the mountain is steep—yet Daniel looks toward the summit and declares with courage: "Bring It On!" To my dear friends and parishioners,

As the winter sun settles over our vibrant community, I find myself finally catching my breath. The holidays have a way of sweeping us up ...in their current, and for our family—and especially for Dani—this season has been a profound journey of both quiet reflection and exuberant discovery.

Since mid-December, Dani has stepped into a world of "firsts" and "agains." We watched with full hearts as he navigated the gentle rhythms of a farm, finding a unique peace among the animals. We saw the spark of kinship when he met a fellow artist, the focused silence of chess matches with Alex, and the pure, unadulterated laughter that only a best friend like Oliver can provoke. In those moments, Dani isn't just a teenager navigating a new life; he is a boy discovering the simple magic of belonging.

Yet, we walk this path with honesty. Beneath the holiday cheer, there are still the quiet storms—the echoes of lost family and the complex, often overwhelming "autistic realities" that shape his world. There are moments of fear that feel like a sudden chill, born of memories he is still learning to carry. My wife and I find ourselves as much his students as his guardians; we are learning the language of his soul just as he is learning the contours of our culture and the winding road of becoming a young man.

What moves us most is Dani’s remarkable spirit. In the face of hardship, he possesses a rare, refreshing grace: an internal anchor of acceptance. He does not dwell on the weight of the past, but instead looks toward the horizon with a stubborn, beautiful hope.

His progress is a testament to the village surrounding him:

His Therapist: An adaptable guide who helps Dani rise from every session with a renewed sense of possibility.

His Education: Without the digital noise of cellphones or gaming, he has found a voice in his studies.

His Mantra: Guided by his teacher, Kesh, Dani has adopted a warrior’s cry for his lessons: "Bring it on!"

Looking ahead, Dani’s eyes are turning toward the colors of San Miguel. He carries a growing desire to find an art school here—a place where his artistic heart can find its technique and its home.

As we step into this New Year, we are acutely aware that more challenges will surely come. But we are equally aware of the "sharing hope" that God pours over our family daily. We feel your prayers and your presence in every step Dani takes.

Thank you for being part of his story. There is, most certainly, more beauty to come.
