EDUCATION & FORMATION

Every week brings opportunities for our congregation to explore, discuss, and learn.

We welcome you to explore what it means to be a member at St Paul’s. Within the tradition of Benedictine Spirituality, the proper balance in life is found by cultivating aspects of prayer, learning, and action.

“We do not think ourselves into new ways of living, we live ourselves into new ways of thinking.” Richard Rohr

For those who are new to St. Paul’s or new to the Episcopal Church and membership is on your mind, there is no specific timeline to follow – you may move at your own pace. For those who are visiting or engaging in faith exploration, we want to be of service to you while you are here in San Miguel de Allende.

Our Rector is available to explore and discuss any aspect of your spiritual development as it unfolds. Contact our Rector Fr. George Woodward: StPaulsRectorSMA@gmail.com

Diversity

In the Anglican tradition of scripture, tradition, and reason, we respect and thrive on diverse views, independent thinking, and thoughtful discussion as we love and serve God together.

Our community is grounded by our study of God’s ways in Christian and Hebrew Scripture. We are open to questions about faith and our lifelong faith journey. We encourage the freedom of the seeker of any age to develop core values which reflect Christian community, and particularly within the breadth and depth of the Anglican Tradition while respecting all faiths. We embrace diverse families – international families, those with two moms or dads, those divorced, gay or lesbian, a single parent, or those with gender variant family members, including children – all are welcome.

Adult Education

Grow your Faith through adult education and bible study classes offer at St. Paul’s. Our discussions center around Scripture to bridge your faith with real life. Everyone is welcome.

Preparatory Classes

For those wishing to be baptized, confirmed, or received as new members into the Anglican Church, we offer preparation classes as needed. It is our hope that worship with us will help you catch a glimpse of the glory of God, and that St Paul’s will become a spiritual home.

Children’s Education

We strive to make Saint Paul’s a welcoming place for families with children of all ages. Our Sunday school is small but growing as new families with children move into the community of San Miguel de Allende. Our teachers aspire to develop a child’s lasting relationship with the church, as well as a healthy spirit of God within. We want our children to be enthused about coming to Sunday school, to learn about worship and understand Anglican traditions. The children meet Sundays at 10:30 and join the worship service at The Peace. Our Sunday School Contact: Karen O’Malia: preachitsister1@gmail.com
